How Peptides Expedite CIRS Healing
How can peptides help in healing from Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) or mold illness? It is well understood that vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is used as the final step in the Shoemaker Protocol, but what other peptides may be of benefit?
While more research is needed, Dr. Christian Navarro-Torres posits that KPV may be helpful for those that struggle with a persistently love melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH). In addition, KPV may benefit those that are over-expressing histamine. KPV may support the thyroid. KPV is anti-inflammatory. KPV may help those that suffer from chronic pain. KPV is anti-microbial and anti-fungal so may have a role in treatment of MARCoNS and/or candida. Like all peptides, KPV is not a "one size fits all" for CIRS but instead a possible lever to pull after consulting with your provider.
Next, BPC-157 may benefit those with persistently low VEG-F. Those with a normal or high VEG-F should not use BPC-157, but if you have a low VEG-F and are using fish oil and gentle exercise and are not seeing increases in VEG-F, BPC-157 may be something to consider. I like a slow release BPC-157.
Finally, Thymogen Alpha-1 (a "sibling" of thymosin alpha 1) is interesting in the context of CIRS as it can stimulate T-cells in those that are deficient, but perhaps even more intriguing is its use in those that have CIRS and tick borne illness. The reason we are interested in the context of Lyme and co-infection is that thymogen alpha-1 can promote antigen recognition and help the immune system keep infections in check. Dr. Lacey Venazi described this as a gentle peptide in a recent interview with Dr. Navarro-Torres. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1BAw2X36P8
We don't want to use peptides willy-nilly. We will likely avoid peptides if a person has a personal history of cancer. May people encourage pulsing peptides- For instance, use the peptide daily for one month and then pulse every other day for another month before stopping. Again, discuss whether peptides are appropriate for you, dosing, and length of use with your medical provider. You are unique and so should be your CIRS treatment plan.
We've teamed up with Integrative Peptides as they are a high quality peptide. We are offering KPV, BPC-157, and Thymogen Alpha-1 at the lowest price Integrative Peptides will allow. In addition, we are offering free shipping with code "FREESHIP." We hope these discounts make peptides more accessible when deemed appropriate for your use.
