Some lessons can only be learned by living them.
Candace Day is a Shoemaker-Certified Proficiency Partner and CIRS survivor who helps you make sense of the journey. She brings not only professional training, but lived experience with CIRS, erythromelalgia, COVID injury, chronic Lyme, and Bartonella to her coaching practice.
Work with someone who has lived in your shoes, not just studied them.
Already working with another provider? No problem!
Candace provides coaching support for individuals wherever they receive medical care. Her role is to help you understand, organize, and navigate your journey alongside your existing healthcare team.

CIRS ADVOCATE | EM SURVIVOR | EDUCATOR
A former high school educator, my schooling in chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) and erythromelalgia (EM) was initially gained through lived experience. Diagnoses of COVID injury, chronic Lyme and Bartonella would further my education. At Untamed Iona, I am pleased to continue in my role as educator and coach to help you navigate the complexities of these disease processes. My natural interest in research and on-the-job training led to a deep understanding of the science behind CIRS, which inspired me to become a Shoemaker Proficiency Partner. I am also currently completing education in Plant-based Medicine at Cornell University. Through coaching, my hard-won wisdom helps you navigate the process with greater clarity, confidence, and support. I look forward to journeying with you.
Candace works closely with the Untamed Iona medical team so your coaching complements—not replaces—your medical care.
What coaching IS-✓ Insight into labs and testing
✓ Organizing next steps
✓ Troubleshooting
✓ Supporting newly diagnosed
✓Supporting “stalls” in progress
✓ Preparing for provider visits
✓ Emotional support from someone who's been there
What coaching is NOT-• Medical diagnosis
• Medication management
• Medical decision making
Why coaching?Medical care is costly.
A coaching session costs substantially less than a medical visit and often answers many of the same questions asked of a medical provider. By staying organized and informed via coaching, you'll get even more value from your time with your medical provider.
